*Deposits are refundable for Yorkymom's/MY babies still in my possession. (Hey, I understand sometimes things happen) Deposits cannot be a disputed/reversed charge by the client. I will send an "official, documented refund" of the deposit to maintain accurate accountability - records (Not many breeders do, but I pay taxes on these kiddo's!)
I also reserve the right to return a deposit and cancel a sale. This would be extremely rare if so- but I have that right and I will not keep your hard-earned money. I am not going to take a deposit on any "newborn babies" and I am NOT going to give out prices on any baby before or just after he or she is born.
I will price babies at around 6-8 weeks unless it is an extreme tiny. Prices of babies can change if not spoken for. Larger babies are not as common as smaller babies. Babies can leave around 10-12+ weeks DEPENDING on the baby and that baby's full spectrum of readiness. The larger ones may be ready earlier, but it will depend on that baby.
THANK YOU!
FINANCING?I DON'T LIKE PET FINANCE COMPANIES!!!! The interest rates are through the roof! Don't believe me? Check for yourself- Please don't use one! If you buy a puppy from ANY breeder and it becomes ill, you are taking a terrible risk. If the breeder has to refund your payment due to it getting sick or God forbid- DYING, they do not have to refund the finance company and cover all the interest and finance charges that go way above what you paid the breeder for the puppy. You can send that refund to the finance company but YOU MAY STILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ADDITIONAL RIDICULOUSLY HIGH INTEREST AND FEES ON TOP OF THAT. The pet finance companies are not liable. If it is a bad breeder and they decide to skip out on you, you still have to pay the finance company, all the interest and fees plus any vet bills which could be a few hundred to thousands- What about the horrible thought if your puppy died? Then you have to additionally deal with how to get restitution out of the seller that refuses to answer calls or texts or flat out blocks you. By that point you might not even be able to pay for an attorney or court costs. It is a horrible roller coaster of financial loss and emotional damage I would not wish on anyone. In saying that... just avoid pet finance companies. They seem like a good idea until you read the fine print or run into trouble.
Because I don't determine prices on babies BEFORE they are born and not even for several weeks after they are born, I would recommend saving your money in advance on a purchase from any breeder. If a puppy is priced by 6-8 weeks, they are usually here until 10-12 weeks. Longer if they are extreme tinies. Additional time if needed to send in the balance due.
I usually determine puppy prices by around 6-8 weeks. I can take a credit card payment via Square or PayPal. The Bill/receipt will clearly read that this payment CANNOT be reversed or disputed once the charge has been made. WHY??? 2 reasons.... 1) I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED by buyers 2 times. (details below) One quite recently but thankfully, their effort fell through as I made sure everything was detailed on the pay-provider websites. 2) If the puppy qualifies for a refund in accordance to my guarantee, a refund will be made separately via Square or PayPal and all information will be noted in detail on the receipt. I detail it this way for business & tax purposes (yes-I pay taxes on my dogs).
Puppies are DNA'd with Animal Genetics in Tallahassee FL. Puppies are also Microchipped. This is not for your benefit. Because of recent scam by a buyer, the microchip will serve as positive identification the said puppy came from me in addition to the benefit the family receives from having it done to keep their pup safe. DNA will secure as the additional 100% that the puppy in question is indeed the puppy I sold the buyer. It also is security that if someone is buying a PET, I own the genetic reproductive material. A pet is a spay/neuter - not a breeding dog - so those parts are not needed.
SCAMMERS WHO BUY: (yup, it's real...)
On May 16,2020 I sent an invoice for a SOLID GOLDEN SABLE female yorkie & received the deposit via Square (its like PayPal) from "LR".
I thought I was selling this baby to a mother of X children- one having an issue that required her to come all the way to south Florida and stay until she recovered well enough to go back home. I verified the address, name and even phone number on the internet. Her last name was different and when I asked - she said it was her maiden name. Seemed fine... I was excited to help make this child and family happy and bought over $100 in supplies and goodies to go with the baby. My last beautiful sable female sold to her was delivered on May 31. The morning we were to leave, something didn't feel right about taking her. I just had this weird feeling or suspicion. I told my fiancé I really wanted to just give her a refund and not take her the puppy. She could be mad if she wanted to but decided it was just me worrying too much. We drove from northwest FL to Ocala. No delivery fee - client courtesy. Her mom drove and her X children were in the back seat. Thank goodness Kyle got the license plate on camera. The next day she called me and told me the puppy pooped and was doing great- she actually sent a picture of it but then told me she was overrun with hundreds of fleas and sick. I am terribly allergic to fleas and give all my adult dogs generic Capstar and keep everything treated... This didn't make sense and I immediately started to regret not following my gut, but she seemed very genuine with her words. I was so upset at myself! This is the very first time I have ever had this happen with a client. I health test my dogs but I know from years working Veterinary testing is the most responsible thing to do, but there is always a very teeny chance something can still happen. I was led to believe this was that moment.
I told her to immediately get the baby to the vet- Ill take care of the bill. She called me from the first vet. She told me the Veterinarian was shocked that the puppy was in such bad shape and should be at an emergency ER and on an IV and may die. I was in TEARS and SO ANGRY AT MYSELF but I have to do the right thing for the little baby and the family. I asked if she could wait a few minutes and I immediately got on google earth, found her location and began searching for a close vet she could drive straight over to. I even checked ratings. I don't want my babies going just anywhere if it is an emergency! I sent her to Baker Veterinary Clinic in West Palm Beach. From her words, they were shocked as to this puppy condition and wanted to know who the hell the breeder was. They said it was PARVO--- WHAT THE HELL???? (this was the first red flag or terrible misdiagnosis) I felt so terrible and irresponsible and just cried. I was angry at myself. How could I do this to a client!!!??? I also didn't understand how the puppy had PARVO-- Bloody diarrhea is the absolute dead giveaway symptom for the disease and my puppy never had that and ALL my dogs and puppies would be showing symptoms. The buyer told me basically the Vet carried on quite badly about the puppy's condition and what a horrible breeder the person who sold it had to be. They contacted MY vet to verify information, apparently sharing the details as to me being basically a monster- which if I was a veterinarian, I would too.
I tried calling the Vet myself and they told me they could not disclose information without the owners written consent. I texted her back and she gave the consent. I called the vet back and spoke to the veterinarian. We decided together to have the puppy put down. I paid the Vet $251.50 for all their work and the euthanasia.
I immediately texted the owner/client and began the refund process. Because she paid $500 to square, the website would not allow me to add the extra $1,800 to the bill to make it the full purchase price. I asked her if it would be okay to refund the full amount thru PayPal. She said YES and she gave me her PayPal info.
I immediately sent the refund as Friends and Family - SOMETHING I SHOULD HAVE NEVER EVER DONE, but I felt she needed her money back quickly. Luckily it was detailed as a full refund on the purchase price for the SABLE female puppy. I apologized repeatedly. I sent her screen shots of the refund and verified via text that she had indeed received confirmation of it. She told me I was a very caring breeder and told me her husband was a Police Officer in their home town and had been sent home from work for testing positive for Covid19. I couldn't have felt more worse. I told her I was praying for him and their family.
This all happened in a little over 24 hours from actually receiving the puppy. That was the last I heard from her...... UNTIL- June 17,2020---- when I received an email from SQUARE notifying me she was DISPUTING the $500.00 DEPOSIT, which legally is fraud.
I sent a rebuttal to Square and sent copies of everything to them including images of her texts, receipts from Payal, the vet with her phone number showing- every tiny detail I'm sure she wished she didn't give out.
Right away something in me told me to call that Veterinarian back and ask about more details about the puppy she took in. A lady named Courtney spoke to me first. The first thing out of her mouth after I gave my name was her saying she remembered me and then started saying "we didn't bash you, we didn't bash you"... ohhh shit..... They must have really said some awful things to people about me ! I told her it was "okay" I just needed to verify a few medical details as the lady who brought the puppy in gave consent. She had me wait for a moment as she pulled the actual medical record. I then asked what color the puppy was that came in....
Her response: BLACK AND GOLD...... I got confused and asked "A TRADITIONAL BLACK & GOLD?" Her response: "YES" She remembered the puppy and was reading from the medical records.... The puppy I sold her was COMPLETELY SOLID LIGHT GOLDEN SABLE. (the picture to the right and below this article is her- back and front.... Not a speck of traditional black and gold.) No resemblance in any way shape or form to a black and gold traditional Yorkie. When I told her that, her immediate response to my comment was "Uhhhhhhohhh--- could you hold please?" I was transferred to the office manager Kaylen whom although agreed to the fact that I was informed that the puppy they saw was indeed BLACK and GOLD and NOT my sable girl- she told me they were NOT going to give me any further information. She said they did not want to get involved and the liability. ASSHOLES...... (my website, my opinion and they never apologized)
SO... the only thing I can figure out is from all the details and information gathered, the buyer took some other puppy she must have gotten from another breeder and LIED to me! I paid to have the puppy put down (which I do not regret- no baby should suffer) PLUS - I GAVE HER A $2,300.00 REFUND - the price of the puppy and NOW she's was trying to dispute and defraud me for an additional $500.00
I should have never left the house. I should have followed my gut. I should have just given her the $500 deposit back and found another mommy/family for her. I'm glad I am so neurotically detailed. I have the parents DNA and have the license plate of the car she arrived in plus some.
There is A LOT of hate going on in our country right now and because one person does something bad, this does NOT make every human being is bad. One bad apple does not define every other apple on the tree. Most people are truly GOOD and I will always believe that.
I have already shown all evidence to my Veterinarian and being mainly a DR that treats family pets and a not breeders dogs and puppies, she was a bit surprised and very relieved as she loves my dogs and puppies and has been very impressed by the consistency in quality, excellent health and the unique colors. She said she had a feeling something wasn't right. What a relief.
BUYERS: If you ever wonder why some breeders seem so neurotic about who gets a puppy and so much attention to details that may seem unnecessary..... THIS is why. EVEN BREEDERS GET SCAMMED. This is also why I now reserve the right to refuse the sale of any puppy at any time.
This is the sable female that was sold and from all the evidence and information from the Veterinary clinic in S Florida, switched with a sickly replacement puppy that looked absolutely nothing like her. I am sure at some point she may see this article one day so if anyone finds a complaint about me online after May 30th 2020 - you all know who most likely did it.
